IC 443, also known as the Jellyfish Nebula, is a supernova remnant located about 5,000 light-years away in the constellation Gemini. It spans roughly 70 light-years across and is the expanding remains of a massive star that exploded thousands of years ago. Its complex, filamentary structure is shaped by shock waves interacting with surrounding gas, creating a wispy, glowing appearance.
